Personalised Chronic Pain Relief Sessions.
At Venture hypnotherapy, our approach to chronic pain relief is tailored to meet your unique needs. Below is an overview of what your session might look like.
Initial Discussion:
We initiate the session with a structured discussion, exploring your daily experiences and identifying areas where you seek improvement.
Solution-Focused Approach:
Employing a Solution-Focused approach, we delve into envisioning your ideal day, setting the groundwork for a positive mindset and pain-free aspirations.
Somatic Tracking:
Body Sensation Exploration: I will guide you to explore with a sense of ease, the sensations in your body Utilising somatic tracking techniques, fostering a mindful connection with your physical experiences. This is done while sitting comfortably with your eyes open or closed, whichever you prefer and finding a sensation in your body that you would like to investigate. I will guide you through the process of this mindful exploration. Be assured I will never ask you to explore any pain sensation if the pain level is too high.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT):
Deep Dive into Pain Origins: We will take a look at how you respond to the challenges of everyday life, your past experiences and why you might be suffering with persistent pain. We will systematically explore the roots of your pain, aiming to unravel underlying factors and gain a comprehensive understanding of what's going on how we can begin to make the necessary changes to calm the danger signals your brain is mistakenly sending.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT):
Incorporating Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), we address and alleviate negative thoughts, promoting mental clarity and creating space for a more positive mindset. No one-size-fits-all; it's a personalised playlist for your journey.
There may be times when I feel it would be helpful for you to engage in relevant written exercises at home. For example, keeping a journal to write down negative thoughts or worries. There is no hard and fast rule for this, you can of course decline; however a commitment from both parties is needed to achieve the best results. It is in the clients best interest to engage in the process.
An emotional response can occur during or after a therapy session, as we may explore uncomfortable feelings and experiences, you may be tearful or exhausted, you could be extremely happy, this is all perfectly normal.
Thank you for choosing Venture Hypnotherapy to help you get out of the chronic persistent pain cycle. We may discuss using hypnotherapy as part of treatment as this can be an effective way of enhancing wellness. You will only receive hypnotherapy if you agree to following a full description of what it is and how it will be used.
How do I know you are qualified to do the job?
My business is a member of, and therefore regulated by the following two regulatory bodies:
-
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists
-
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
I must adhere to their strict code of conduct and ethics, including having a recognised qualification, the right insurance, regular Continual Profession Development (CPD) training, and having regular supervisions with a regulated and qualified supervisor.
How long will each session be and how do I pay?
Sessions are usually 75 - 90 minutes.
Payment is to be made before each session, by direct bank transfer or PayPal - please ask for details.
What if I’m running late?
Please do your best to let me know if you are running late. There are some slots I have available that mean I am able to continue with your full session, but often I will have another client waiting and therefore it may mean our session has to be a little shorter.
What if I need to rearrange my session?
If you provide less than 48 hours’ notice, the charge for that session is still payable.
If I need to rearrange a session I will let you know at my earliest opportunity and would hope you might approach our sessions with the same ethos. In extreme circumstances, I may choose to waver the cancellation fee e.g. severe disruptive weather conditions.
Would you as my therapist ever choose to end my treatment early?
If I am subjected to abuse by you, or by someone else acting in your interests, I may end our therapy with no notice.
